Review of the Acai Berry Products for Weightloss
Be careful of Acai berry products and other “free trials” weight loss products
What is with all the hype about acai berry? What exactly are acai berries, and do they really help you lose weight?
Acai berry is a superfood that claims to help aid in weight loss, fight against certain cancers and even reverse the aging process. It is harvested in the rainforests of Brazil, it’s taste is a mix of sour & sweet, like a mix of chocolate and cherries.
Acaí is said to be packed full of antioxidants, amino acids, essential fatty acids and vitamins and minerals, and have the highest antioxidant score of any fruit or vegetable tested to date.
It has been featured on Oprah, The Today Show, The CBS Early Show, in the Wall Street Journal and the New York Times.
With so much publicity behind this miracle fruit and such strong claims, wouldn’t you want to get your hands on this fruit as soon as possible.
Well not so fast. You can not buy fresh acai berry unless you live in the middle of Amazon Rainforest! is very perishable and spoils within about 24 hours of being picked from the Acai Palm tree.
Acai berry sub products
If want to get the benefits of this fruit it can be obtained as acai pulp shipped from the Amazon frozen or dehydrated into a powder and freeze dried. This powder can then be put into capsules to make pure Acai supplements that maintain all the nutritional properties of fresh Acai – just in a concentrated form.
Unfortunately, it has been found that most Acai powders and pills on the market are not legitimate and have a very LOW quality in antioxidant effects. Unfortunately, the products contain additives, fillers, undeclared pharmaceuticals (like laxatives) and potentially harmful contaminants.
Acai berry powder/products & free trails
In the last little while there has been many companies out there, particularly on the internet that claim to be the “real thing” and offer “free trails” of their product. Those free trials quickly turn into expensive monthly shipments that are difficult to stop.
They advertises “free trials”, “seen on TV”, “as mention on ABC, MSNBC and USA Today as incredible weight loss”. They even use fake reporters with fake success stories, post fake reviews and forums under other websites they publish, tricking the public to believe in the credibility of their products. They even post reviews of other acai product scams and how to avoid them, claiming they are the real thing
These schemes have been around for a while, but they’ve become so problematic that agencies like the Better Business Bureau (BBB) and the U.S. Federal Trade Commission (FTC) are openly saying they’re scams. Currently, the FTC is toughening up its crackdown on these product providers. However these scammers often change site names , products names, “reporter”, customer names, once found. They even write reviews such as “Aqui Berry Scam”…
How to fight them
Don’t give in to temptation. If you want to try acai berry products, purchase them from a reputable store or business – but you might want to do your research first. While acai berries are a good source of anti-oxidants, there’s no proof they’ll help you lose weight or fight off specific diseases like colon cancer.
Use common sense
Remember there are no short cuts when it comes to weight loss. I am sorry the truth is there are NO magic, pills or powders or anything that will keep your weight off for good. The real key is change in long term habits: eating right , having a positive mind frame and on a good exercise program. If you are finding it hard to reach these goals by yourself, you may want to consult a professional, such as a nutritionist, personal trainer, or a hypnotherapist (who can help deal with the emotional berries of weight loss). At Build My Body Beautiful we take this common sense, permanent results driven approach that has helped endless clients reach success.[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
