Yes, you guessed right, this post is about fitness motivation, because I feel that it is one of the most important aspects of anyone’s fitness journeys that many women lack. It is understandable, considering the relentless tempo of our lives. Are you a busy woman, who works 10-12 hour days? Do you constantly have to go to important meetings and lunches with clients? Don’t have the time to cook or workout? WELL…

This picture is of one of our clients, Jenn, who has an extremely busy schedule at work and who technically have no time to spend on getting fit. Technically…

Jenn always had a dream to be a competitive figure model. For 17 years, she was thinking about training for her first show, but she kept putting it off on the backburner, until one day she decided that she must make a commitment and just do it! She started her journey being completely new to the sport, but was determined to get in the best shape of her life.

Becoming a figure competitor requires a muscular, yet still feminine physique, as well as dropping the body fat percentage to below 10%. Something that is really hard to achieve for a woman. The preparation for the show requires gruelling workouts 5-6 times a week, long posing sessions (stage presence is really important in this sport), extremely precise nutrition plan, absolutely no alcohol or eating out and constantly staying organized with your meals (cooking them and portion them into food containers ahead of time). Every competitor sooner or later realizes that this hobby very soon becomes a full time job!

So how does a busy marketing executive with a tight schedule can allow such time-consuming process in her daily routine? She believes in her success, she doesn’t make excuses, she MAKES time if she doesn’t have it, she pushes her workout to the limits and exercises an extreme amount of discipline, in terms of what she eats. Even though she has some injuries, she gets modifications to her exercises, so that they do not hurt her, but instead hit the areas that she needs to hit.

The result? Rocking that stage and WOWing the audience and the judges of the show with her incredible physique, and scoring TWO awards in the same night! But that’s not all. Knowing that you can overcome all of your fears and doubts, to reach your goal is the true, much more valuable reward. That your hard work and perseverance can destroy any obstacles you have been putting in front of you all this time and realize that all of them are just a product of your imagination. That there are NO real obstacles if you focus only on the end results and that you can do anything you put your mind to!

Jenn is a true inspiration and a role model, who never surrenders to the habit of creating limitations for herself. We hope she motivates all the ladies out there, who are hesitating to start their fitness journey and you that after reading this you will get out there and take what’s yours, because you deserve it!
