Preparing for a fitness show consists of many factors that are often overlooked by novice competitors. Aside from training and diet, things like posing, makeup, tanning, picking the right suit for your body, shoes and hair all come together when you are on stage. Getting one or more of these factors wrong, will make or break your performance. With all the information available online today, it may seem that you can figure it out all on your own. But this information is based on the experiences of other people, with different bodies than you and other individual differences. Proper coaching is a must if you want an individualized diet and program that suit only your body. We will coach fitness methods and exercises to give body desired shape.

Our Contest Prep Philosophy

Our client’s health and well being is our number one concern.  Competing in a fitness show is not for everyone.  We interview those who wish to pursue this sport thoroughly and explain every detail along the way. We want to make sure that you are both physically and mentally prepared to enter the world of competing.

We do not believe in shortcuts, extreme diets composing of 1200 calories or less or endless cardio (we have never had a client do more than 45 mins of cardio in a session, even that is rare, or diets consisting of egg whites). We are natural competitors and prep all our girls without the use of fat burners or any unnatural sport/ body enhancement supplements. There is a way to go at this the smart way, safe way, and in a way to minimize rebound weight gain effects that often come after poor prep.

What’s Included in my Contest Prep Package?

  • Personal training sessions with your coach (included with Zoom training session packages). Sessions are 1 – 1.15 hour each, scheduled as frequently as agreed with your coach. Sessions include measurements and check-ins & posing practice (extra time is added as needed at no extra cost).
  • A customized exercise program (weights and cardio as needed) for bikini or figure competition (workouts you do on your own)
  • 4 phase custom fitness competition diet & supplements plan (modified as needed)
  • Final week contest prep guide and assistance (including water, sodium and carb loading and depleting, and tons of industry tips and tricks)
  • Competition prep schedule (outlining all important dates: when to order the suit, get shoes, sign up for competition, when to get a posing coach, when to start tanning etc.)
  • Weekly measurements and progress tracking chart so that you always know how close you are to your goals
  • Biweekly photos
  • Assistance with posing – we will pair you up with a coach and help you practice after you learn the basics

How Bikini Competition and Figure Prep Works

Preparing someone for a fitness show is a very close and personal process. Before we begin to work together we meet with you in person and get to know each other. If you are new to competing, we explain how the competition process works, the type of organizations, categories and basically everything else that’s involved from dieting, training, posing, stage presence prep and mostly what type of adjustments may be needed in your current lifestyle.

This gives you a general idea of everything that’s involved (and there is a lot!), as we want to make sure that this is something you are fully prepared to commit to and that you understand the process.

We discuss your current lifestyle, nutrition and training habits and take your measurements so that we can determine how much time is realistically required to get you stage ready.

Depending on your level of fitness we may have you do a fitness test so that we can better assess your fitness level and create a program to coach fitness steps that are appropriate for you. With more seasoned athletes we may jump right into a training session and make our assessment from there. Together, we will also select a show, date, and category you are best suitable to compete in (if you haven’t done that yourself).

It then usually takes us a week to complete your initial diet and exercise program which we send to you via email. You will also receive a competition prep schedule, an outline of all the important dates leading to your competition.

We often ask to meet with our clients for 30 minutes extra (sessions are generally an hour). During this meeting, we go over your weekly program (workouts you will be doing outside of training with your coach), the exercise technique and your nutrition plan. We show you how to do the exercises more effectively, as well teach you how to do the new exercises. As well, we outline goals for this specific month. We also use the full hour to do our training session together.

In addition to your training session, we do weekly measurements with our clients as well as biweekly pictures to measure progress and make any adjustments to training and/or diet if needed. We will always chat with you about any challenges you have encountered during this week and answer all of your questions.

As we progress with the training and we get closer to the competition date, we will begin introducing other elements to our training such as stage presence, posing and helping you with scheduling all the details leading up to the show.
